How to beat Bowhead Whale
Give the Volcano scientist five local fish to receive the Fish Bucket, then cast it only after your final-boss loadout is ready. Sprint clear when Bowhead Whale launches into the air, punish the landing recovery, and preserve the whole body. Carry it up the wooden path and throw it into the volcano to start the finale.

- 01 · Complete the request
Give five Volcano fish to the scientist
Catch local creatures with Scientific Lure and hand them over one at a time for the Fish Bucket.
- 02 · Prepare both fights
Buy final-boss gear before casting
The regular whale is only phase one of the route. Stock weapons, ammunition and healing for the mutated fight too.
- 03 · Fight
Run clear of the aerial body slam
When the whale rises, sprint out of the landing zone. Fire during its recovery, then move again.
- 04 · Trigger the finale
Carry the body into the volcano
Keep the whole whale, climb the wooden path and drop it into the crater. The final encounter starts immediately.
The fight
Turn the arena into your shield
Pufferfish wins when you stop moving. Your job is to keep clean sand ahead of you and a palm trunk between each charge.
Fire during recovery
Turn and deal damage after the body slam, then reset before the next launch.
Keep the body intact
Do not sell, cook or abandon the defeated whale; it is the final-boss trigger.
Restock before the crater
The Mutated Bowhead Whale begins immediately after the body is dropped into lava.

What went wrong?
Use the symptom, make one correction, and go again.
The scientist gives no Fish Bucket
Hand him five fish native to Volcano Island after starting his request.
The body slam keeps landing
Start sprinting as soon as the whale rises; do not wait for it to peak.
The final boss does not start
Carry the whole defeated Bowhead Whale up the wooden route and drop it into the volcano crater.
