Move across the leap
Watch the takeoff, strafe out of the landing line, and turn back only after impact.
Island 4 · Rocks · Required setup mini-boss
Buy the Professional Boss Lure on Rocks Island and cast from a clear shoreline. Sidestep Tuna's committed jumps and answer with close-range ranged damage after it lands. Do not sell, cook or eat the body—place the intact Tuna on dry ground near cover to attract Albatross.
Trigger → fight → hand-in
The Rocks story route uses Tuna as bait for the Albatross rather than as an NPC hand-in.
Use the Boss version with the Fishing Rod. The regular Professional Lure does not summon Tuna.
Keep open lateral space, let Tuna commit to its leap, then punish the recovery with a Shotgun or upgraded ranged weapon.
Keep the defeated body intact and put it near building cover. The Albatross arrives to take the bait.
The fight
Pufferfish wins when you stop moving. Your job is to keep clean sand ahead of you and a palm trunk between each charge.
Watch the takeoff, strafe out of the landing line, and turn back only after impact.
Close-range damage is safest immediately after Tuna commits to the jump.
Finish the fight away from water and clutter so the quest bait is easy to recover.
Albatross begins after the body is placed, so restock before you put Tuna down.
Fix the failed run
Use the symptom, make one correction, and go again.
You equipped Professional Lure. Tuna requires Professional Boss Lure.
Strafe across the takeoff line instead of retreating in the same direction.
Place the defeated Tuna body on dry ground near the Rocks shop after starting the islander's request.
If it was sold, cooked or eaten, buy another boss lure and catch a replacement.
