Forest Island walkthrough
Three Leeches. One Modified Leech. Keep the Skeleton.
Take the Dinnertime quest from the woman beside the lake, pick up all three Leeches from the forest floor, and trade them for the Modified Leech. Use it to summon Giant Piranha, then return its Skeleton to unlock Desert Island.

Do it in this order

Arrive
Follow the green Radar dot
Return the Spider Crab drop at the Lighthouse, collect the boat keys, and buy the $10 Radar. Equip it and head northwest to the green marker.

Upgrade
Buy the proper Fishing Rod
The Forest shop opens the Fishing Rod and Beginner Lure pool. Buy the rod before grinding local catches; the old Crab Fishing Rod is not the main setup here.

Quest
Start Dinnertime beside the lake
Talk to the woman sitting near the lake and shop. Make sure the 0/3 Leech objective is active before searching the grass.

Gather
Pick up three Leeches from the ground
Look down while sweeping the grass and dirt paths. Leeches are environmental pickups—you do not catch them with a rod. Return when the counter reads 3/3.
- 05
Boss
Trade for the Modified Leech
The woman converts the three pickups into the boss trigger. Heal, bring food and ready a ranged weapon before casting; Giant Piranha starts immediately.

Leave
Return the Giant Piranha Skeleton
Pick up the Skeleton after the fight and carry it straight back to the woman beside the lake. That hand-in adds Desert Island to the Radar.

Common mistakes
I cannot find the Leeches in the water+
Stop fishing and search the ground. Walk slowly through the grass and dirt paths while looking down for the interaction prompt.
The Beginner Boss Lure did not summon Giant Piranha+
That lure rolls Sunfish or The Old Pike. Giant Piranha only starts with the Modified Leech from the 3/3 Leech quest.
I lost the Modified Leech+
A failed cast or fight can consume the trigger. Repeat the Leech quest route and prepare fully before the next cast.
I killed Giant Piranha but Desert is still missing+
Pick up its Skeleton and return it to the woman beside the lake. The boss kill alone does not update the Radar.

Are Sunfish and The Old Pike required?+
No. Both are optional Beginner Boss Lure minibosses. Giant Piranha and its Skeleton hand-in are the required Desert route.
